General Tab
The General Tab is where you control the basic settings of PTHPasteboard and the Pasteboard history. The Pasteboard history is automatically updated every time you cut/copy in a Mac OS X application. It automatically remembers the last 100 (or more) items that you copy and allows you to paste them into any application at any time.
Launch Options
You can easily start/stop PTHPasteboard from this section.
-

-

Use this button to Stop PTHPasteboard.
-
Start at Login
Checking this checkbox will cause PTHPasteboard to automatically launch everytime you log in to your Mac OS X machine. If this checkbox isn't checked PTHPasteboard must be launched manually at login time.
History
You can control the behavior of the Main pasteboard history from this section.
-
Remember items after a restart
When this checkbox is checked PTHPasteboard will store your history buffer and automatically reload it after a system restart of user login.
-
Store <Number> Items
This text field controls the maximum number of items that can be kept on the Main Pasteboard buffer at one time.
-
Maximum Item Size
This text field controls the maximum data size of any item on the Pasteboard. Note that when copying images many applications will copy in multiple formats, this causes the overall size of the pasteboard item to increase by quite a bit. This setting doesn't affect the very first item on the pasteboard, it will always be whatever is in the current system wide pasteboard.
Ignore Items From: (PRO feature)
PTHPasteboard will automatically ignore any items copied from applications listed here. This is useful to prevent Passwords from being copied to the Pasteboard History. Note this is a PTHPasteboard PRO feature.
Update
This section allows you to enable or disable PTHPasteboard's automatic version upgrade checking.
-
Automatically check for updates
When checked PTHPasteboard will periodically query for new releases of PTHPasteboard. Please go to the Privacy Page for more info on what information is sent to PTH Consulting when this feature is enabled.
